just swiching the bike on is not enough. The stromer server does not continously monitor your bike, it has to be triggered by the bike itself or by you, when using the app.
Another problem is that connection between the bike and the server indoors is lousy.
so...
place your bike outside in the open, switch it on, wait for a few seconds and then press (while the bike is still switched on !) the renewbutton in the app.
